Case Study: Dock Social Solidarity Economy Zone
Dock is is a multidisciplinary team of twelve individuals, operating in a cooperative structure to provide support to entities / initiatives of the SSE through its core operations: Infopoint, Helpdesk and Forum. Dock provides Information, Educational Programs, Personalised Counselling, Seminars and Tools, but also through Networking and the Development of Collaborations with other entities, it aims to contribute in making SSE more visible by strengthening and enhancing the initiatives and their people.
1. Infopoint. A spot where everyone can get in touch (either by physical presence or by telephone or online) to get information, get answers to questions, ask for support, and network with other people or initiatives on a daily basis.
2.Helpdesk. It encompasses the basic operation of support of SSE entities / initiatives at any stage of development, from the initial idea and the formation of a team to initiatives and entities that have already developed economic activity.
3.Forum. The Forum encompasses the operation of networking and synergy development between entities and initiatives. Networking and synergy development, mainly aiming at meeting common needs, as well as recording and processing their collective experience in order to produce joint policy and advocacy positions, thus intervening more effectively in the public debate on SSE.
Mission: Dock aims at contributing to the visibility of SSE and to highlight it as the way of economic and social entities based on the values of Solidarity, Sustainability and Social Justice.
Impact: Enhance Social Value on the basis of collective ownership, management and work with democratic decisions and control.
