I have followed my three cycle studies in the field of economics and my research and teaching in the university is concentrated on the fields of development economics. Research publications and conference participations on Albanian pension system, inequality and human development, wellbeing in developing countries, health and economic inclusion of South Eastern European countries etc demonstrate it the best.
I am a Lecturer of Economics at the Epoka University where I teach International Economy, Development and Growth, and Microeconomics courses. My research is concentrated on the fields of development economics and European integration. My recent papers examine characteristics that cover the economical aspects such as the pension system, demographic change, corruption, inequality, human development and the foreign direct investment in Western Balkans and with a particular focus in Albania. I am part of national networks by being either the founder or active member in associations related to economics and sociology.
I am expert nearby Public Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Albania and thus I am involved in Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions and programs. At the same time I am involved in many other activities as evaluator. In October 2018, I am engaged as an Evaluator Expert in Horizon 2020, Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) Program under the Research Executive Agency of European Commission. I have evaluated a numerous of project related to development economics and social issues. Lastly, I am selected as a national expert to conduct Legislative Gap Analysis (LGA) of the Albanian legislation related to selected areas of EU acquis. In this context, I am also included in the expert list nearby Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, assisting in the process preparation of assession negociation for the areas of Commerce, Industry, Customs and Taxes; Transport, Energy, Environment and Regional Development; Innovation, Information Society and Social Policies; Economic, Financial and Statistical Issues.
