Working Group 2 Meeting in Zagreb

As the amount of mechanisms of existing platforms that we have collected has become important, we were able to look at them in order to make decisions about the way they are described. We decided that each mechanism should be named starting with an action verb, and then an object (e.g. posting a comment, reviewing an accomodation). We then went on with our discussion on the target group(s) for the catalog, and we decided that we should build it considering that we will have three main audiences:
- Community Organisers,
- Entrepreneurs / Platform Operators/Creators, and
- “Technologists”.
We then decided that we will organize the platforms mechanisms around four points of view:
- Goals (e.g. community building, expertise sharing, ...),
- Functionalities (e.g. rating, reviewing, ...),
- Effects (social/psychological/economics), and
- Domains (e.g. makers, food sharing, short-term rental, ride-sharing, ...)
