Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITCs) conference grants

A new type of networking tools has been added to our Work and Budget Plan for the current grant period:  ITC Conference Grants.

Since COST's priority is enhancing research collaboration where ideas and people can grow without borders, we have added conference grants to our networking tools’ list.

Conference grants help PhD students and early-career investigators from participating Inclusiveness Target Countries attend international science and technology related conferences that are not specifically organised by a COST Action.

Participants can also download the new user guide.

Detailed information on participants’ eligibility, evaluation and selection, financial support, and grant payment procedures can be found in Section 8 of the COST Vademecum.

The following eligibility criteria apply:

  • Conference Grants are exclusively reserved for PhD students and ECIs with a primary affiliation in an institution located in an ITC.
  • The applicant must make an oral/poster presentation at the conference in question and must be listed in the official event/conference programme. The main subject of the oral presentation / poster presentation / speech at the approved conference must be on the topic of the Action and must acknowledge COST.
  • The participation of each applicant must be pre-approved by the MC.

These grants are for anyone who fulfils the criteria, not only for the current participants in the action.

Please share the information widely in ITC countries!
